Who they are

This charity was founded by a woman who wanted to provide help & support to sexual abuse survivors, they now offer support and counselling to all ages and genders to provide help to those who are struggling.


The problems they were having

Their IT systems were not getting the ongoing maintenance they needed and the charity’s team were constantly fighting with IT systems that were slow, cumbersome and hindering the work that they were trying to do.

When issues arose, it was taking many days to get them resolved and they would reappear after a short period of time. Every time an issue needed IT Support it was costing the charity money and the continuous charges were draining much needed funds from the front line services.

The support being provided was entirely reactive and was not helping the business to plan for the future.


How Astaris were able to help

Astaris have replaced the reactive, pay-as-you-go support mechanism with a proactive, all-you-can-eat approach. The engineering work to bring the systems up to date and permanently resolve all outstanding issues has drastically cut the amount of downtime and frustrations that the team were struggling with.

The cost of the support is now fixed, predictable and much less than was previously the case.

The charity now has several additional security, protection and reliable backup systems in place, all at no extra cost. They have moved from being in a highly vulnerable position to one that is markedly improved.

Astaris have also been able to review some of the connectivity and telephony requirements and contracts. Using Astaris advice, the charity has been able to rework and replace the existing arrangements to deliver a much better service for almost no change in expenditure.
